NaMeX announces the activation of the third PoP in Rome, hosted in the recently announced Interxion facility in Tor Cervara. The new site will operate in addition to the original site in Via dei Tizii 6b and the site in Unidata’s Commercity premises that has opened at the end of Oct 2017.
The activation of the third site to respond to the requests for co-location, interconnection and peering services, increases once again the availability of these services in the city of Rome, in order to fulfill the growing needs of a robust, growing market.
Like in the previously added site, a dual-path dark fiber link allows the members located in the Tor Cervara datacenter to access the public and private peering services provided by NaMeX in the core node.
“We welcome the decision taken by Interxion to open a site in an emerging market for colocation such as Rome. This will especially benefit our international members that will have the advantage of finding in one place a colocation partner with worldwide reputation and a solid interconnection infrastructure to the Central and Southern Italian community”, said Maurizio Goretti, General Manager of NaMeX.
