Due to recent growth, we’ve expanded our datacenter to be able to process the growing demand for new ISPs joining NaMeX.
Besides works in our “historical” datacenter, we opened two new PoPs in Rome, hosted in two new sites that will be an extension of the NaMeX infrastructure.
The NaMeX datacenter system is now made up of three datacenters:
- Caesar: hosted by CINECA, in the heart of Rome, our historical datacenter
- Tiberius: hosted by Interxion, on the eastern side of the city
- Augustus: hosted by Unidata, on the western side of the city
The datacenter system is homogeneous and guarantees high-quality service regardless of the site where we host the ISP. The three PoPs are linked by a dark fiber path provided by a carrier that is present at the Caesar datacenter.
Each datacenter is equipped with high-standard service continuity and availability systems; each rack is provided with two distinct AC 220V power lines, with either 16A or 32A capacity, and protected with UPS systems and generators.
With this new datacenter environment, NaMeX offers the same services, at the same price at each PoP: Colocation; Meet-Me-Room*; Peering; Remote Peering; Remote Hands.
* Except for 100 Gbps PNI connections from Augustus and Tiberius towards Caesar, which will be price-quoted on request.
