ROME – June 19, 2017 – NaMeX Roma Internet Exchange and LINX, London Internet Exchange Ltd, are pleased to report that Convergenze is the first NaMeX member to announce its AS number on the LINX peering platform as part of LINX’s IXP Reseller programme.
NaMeX was the first LINX IXP Reseller partner. This new LINX product allows NaMeX members to connect to LINX giving them access to the array of benefits and services that LINX can offer.
Convergenze, an ISP located in Capaccio, near Paestum, will be the first NaMeX member peering with the members of the LINX community. Convergenze will now have more routing options and be able to reduce traffic passing through transit, reducing costs and giving better service to its customers. Other NaMeX members have expressed their interest and further connections are expected in the near future.
Starting from 15 June 2017, all NaMeX members in Rome, Italy are able to peer at LINX in London. LINX members will have the reciprocal capability to connect to the Italian platform and peer with their members shortly.
Maurizio Goretti, CEO at NaMeX underlines that “This new collaboration between two not for profit and member based IXPs represent an increased value for both exchanges and their affiliates”.
