Carrier Interconnections

Interconnection service is addressed to all carrier operators that need housing space for their transmissive devices, provided with shared cabling facilities, in order to setup physical interconnections towards other carriers or to provide connectivity links to other entities that are hosted inside NaMeX facilities.

Carrier interconnection services include:

  • housing for L1 devices (ADM, xWDM) and/or L2 devices (switch)
  • shared dedicated infrastructures for mutual interconnection between carriers (meet-me room)

The service is housed in a dedicated area (carrier room), interconnections can be of two kinds:

  • physical L1 interconnections
  • logical L2 interconnections
