Connection to AMS-IX
Starting from 2010, NaMeX and AMS-IX, the largest IXP in Europe, have signed a mutual agreement including, among other things, a partnership program that enables NaMeX members to connect to AMS-IX without affording the high costs of a dedicated transport to Amsterdam.
By means of high capacity links connecting NaMeX and AMS-IX switching platforms, NaMeX members are allowed to directly peer with AMS-IX members at an affordable cost. As an AMS-IX partner, NaMeX can take care of all the administrative burden implied by affiliation to AMS-IX, so that NaMeX members can keep dealing only with NaMeX while being, at the same time, full members of the Amsterdam Internet Exchange.
Peering at AMS-IX means having direct access to the largest european and international networks, by setting up a single BGP session with AMS-IX route servers, NaMeX members will be able to receive routes from more than 300 peers (among which, major international content providers such as Facebook and Yahoo!).
Support and pricing
First level technical support is provided by NaMeX NOC, while escalation are handled directly by AMS-IX technical team.
Connection to AMS-IX requires an additional port on NaMeX switching platform, costs vary according to the required capacity (see fees for details).
